If you do R&D at home and manufacturing abroad, you're essentially teaching people elsewhere how to make your product, often better than you can, and asking to be replaced in at most 20 years.
I think we need an inverse thread where we talk about things that normal intelligent people universally agree upon that are for some reason hot takes within your profession
