My memory of Satrapi is when she came to The Boston Globe while promoting the movie version of Persepolis. Lit up a cigarette. Someone said “You can’t smoke here.” She said “Don’t be ridiculous” and proceeded to chain-smoke throughout the entire visit. RIP to a real one.
