Where fiber history meets Pride. This is a large piece (10x28') of one of the two original 30x60' pride flags, the only known surviving section of either. They were designed, hand dyed and sewn by a community of queer artists. The colors are slightly different from most rainbow flags today.

The fact that fossils and fresh carcasses mix together in this spot is bonkers. But of course it makes sense, because the scavengers that live down there also need a steady supply over millions of years. They can't just suddenly adapt to the deep.

Was at the cinema today and couldn't help noticing there were *three* separate adverts encouraging people to join the Royal Navy with narratives of "look at all the exciting countries you'll get to go to" and shots of sunny beaches and playing in snow.
