I’m not a doctor but isn’t the main problem for cartilage repair is the lack of blood supply. So oral supplements based on cartilage composition (like glucosamine, chondroitin) have a big problem. They can’t get to their intended target.
Brain on the other hand has really excellent vasculature….
It’s a shame this article talks about “popularity” but not efficacy of glucosamine
Glucosamine doing anything for joints was always purely fanciful (no effect, maybe even negative www.health.harvard.edu/blog/the-lat...).
But it was “harmless”.
Now we see that it might be promoting dementia.
