I recently visited Stoke Mandeville Hospital to meet with Raghuv Bhasin, Chief Executive of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, as well as staff from the neighbourhood team and the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit.
Great to join Greener Henley at Henley Town Hall on Monday 8th June for a screening and workshop discussion of the National Emergency Briefing, focused on the urgent climate and nature crises and presenting evidence and calls for immediate action from leading experts🌿🌊
I called on the Prime Minister to ensure Thames Water sorts out sewage that continues to spill into my constituent Judy’s garden.
Previously, Thames Water said they wouldn’t even look at the issue until 2027. The PM has now confirmed that the Water Minister will take this up.
This week marks Cystic Fibrosis Week, I wore yellow in Parliament to raise awareness of the daily realities faced by those living with the condition. No two people have the same experience, but it affects thousands of lives across the UK every day.
I met with James Blythe, new CEO of Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust alongside local MPs. We discussed the plan for the Trust going forward, including key priorities like services at Townlands and the New Hospital Programme.
I met with the team at Blue Cross to discuss responsible dog ownership in Henley and Thame. They offer a veterinary care fund and pet food banks to support people struggling with the cost of living so they can continue caring for their animals. 🐩
Today, I hosted a parliamentary roundtable with Adrian Choa, Director, and Oli Roy, Producer, of the documentary Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere.
With NASUWT and Future Men, we considered how to better support boys and young men online.
Today I called on the Minister to improve training for health visitors. Constituents have told me they skipped appointments due to the level of care they received.

At the Second Reading of the Health Bill, I highlighted concerns over ICB commissioning, safeguarding confidentiality in a single patient record, and the absence of reform of JCVI and the National Screening Committee.
I will hold the Government to account as the Bill proceeds through Parliament.
I visited the SSE Henley substation, which provides electricity to residents. We discussed how electricity is distributed and steps taken to ensure power stays on.
SSE has plans to upgrade the distribution network to meet increased demand from new developments and electric car chargers.⚡️
