2/2 Every child deserves to find that deep connection and feeling of being seen in a book. Maybe it’s in humor, maybe it’s in a reference book about the periodic table, or in an “I love you/you have value” story that some adults see as “crud” We are all different, kids included.
As a creator of (NF & F) #kidlit books Barnett would label “didactic,” I’ve seen kids hug my books or cry seeing themselves represented on the page. I get emails from parents saying my book is their child’s lovey. Kids fall in love with books that touch their soul’s truth. 1/2
