The first fighter jets and support aircraft from participating nations have already arrived at Kallax in Sweden, Rovaniemi in Finland and Ørland in southern Norway. The exercise will be coordinated from NATO's Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC) in Bodø, north of the Arctic Circle.

Nuanced picture of European attitudes on defence but Sweden sticks out in several measures:
- 80% confident other European countries would come to its defence.
- 53% personally willing to defend the country
- 70% support buying more European weapons
- 52% view Ukraine as an *Ally* (highest polled)
New satellite photos show a Russian military buildup along NATO's northeastern flank, including a base that can house 80,000 Russian troops near Finland -- 4x the previous amount.
Nordic & Baltic news agencies report with confirmation by military intelligence and armed forces.

But more recently, since joining NATO, many Swedes prefer the Leopard II Tank (Stridsvagn 122).

Of course, Sweden has free daycare (förskoleklass) and an equal society supported by a strong middle class.
