Most dooring crashes don't get reported and don't show up in the stats.

This morning, on @wbez.org, and again at ~10 am — there have been at least 11 dooring crashes since 2018 on the stretch of Halsted between 31st and 35th. Traffic crashes of all kinds have nearly doubled since 2016.

A crowd of people rode their bikes to honor Riley O’Neil, a champion of improving road safety who was doored and then fatally struck by a truck driver while biking over the weekend.
