It is about recognizing that people experience cities differently based on gender, age, disability, income, and caregiving responsibilities - and ensuring these realities are reflected in how we design and manage urban spaces.

• A box-ticking exercise or one-off consultation
• Simply adding CCTV or more policing to address safety
• Treating everyone the same and assuming one-size-fits-all solutions
