APPLEBAUM: Since Trump’s election, United States provided almost no weaponry and no financial assistance to Ukraine over past year.
The war is now 100% supported by Europe, allies in Asia, Canada, and Ukrainians themselves, who now produce huge percentage of their own weaponry.
We won't last 33 more months of this.
This must stop.
We must make it stop.
On April 18 Palantir posted a twenty-two-point manifesto. Conscription. The rearmament of Germany and Japan. AI weapons declared inevitable. Cultures ranked as worthy or unworthy of survival. Most coverage treated it as a curiosity. It is not. I wrote about what it actually is.
Today, Christians observe Good Friday, a holy day of sacrifice, redemption, and faith.
As we gather with loved ones, let us carry our blessings forward and look to the future with hope.
Ninety million people spent yesterday wondering if they would survive the night. And the man that threatened, the country that threatened, faces no consequences.
