‘Simoni says using Race mode “will not be safe” (ummm, none taken), but I can switch to Dynamic, which makes the car more mobile through corners and ups the fun factor.’ Read my review of the new Alfa Romeo Driving Academy – this month in Auto Italia magazine.

Aston Martin Valhalla at London Concours. I’d have this over a Ferrari F80 on looks alone. This is the first of 999 customer cars. A flat-plane twin-turbo V8, 6.1kWh battery and three electric motors add up to 1,079hp and 811lb ft: good for 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds and 217mph.
Ferrari 308 GTS QV by Koenig at London Concours. Its original Rajay turbo is running 0.8 bar, giving 320-350hp. Paint colour is Giallo Fly, with a Koenig wide body and BBS split-rims. I’ll be driving this next week – look out for a forthcoming feature in Auto Italia magazine.
Yes, somebody has launched a new electric hypercar in 2026. Brave… This is the Elektron Quasar, built in Stuttgart. Spec includes mechanical LSDs, hydraulic steering, a simulated paddle-shift transmission and active pushrod suspension. The big numbers are 2,413hp and 1,427kg.
New Ferrari Amalfi spotted outside H.R. Owen in Hatfield. Not sure it really works in Rosso Corsa. 🤔
Morgan Midsummer is a bit of a show-stopper in one-off Viola paint. Designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, this is one of 50 cars made. Power comes from the 340hp 3.0-litre turbocharged BMW straight-six also seen in the Plus Six (and Toyota GR Supra).
On sale with EMM London, this McLaren P1 in MSO Torroco Orange still has its delivery-spec 44 miles on the clock. Is that something to be admired, though? If I had a P1, I’d drive the wheels off it…

Gunther Werks Turbo is based on a Porsche 993, with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six, Getrag manual ’box and rear-wheel drive. Carbon fibre body saves 225kg versus the steel original, despite the widened arches. Mint green is such a 1990s colour, too – love this.
First look at the Boreham Motorworks Ford Escort Mk1 RS - launched here at London Concours. A brand new continuation created with FoMoCo approval, its 'Ten-K' twin-cam engine develops 330hp and revs to 10,000rpm. More details on Motoring Research here: www.motoringresearch.com/car-news/bor...
This Sonderwunsch-specified 718 Spyder RS is a homage to the Porsche 550 Spyder. Paint colour is PTS Chestnut Brown Metallic, with silver decals and Graphite Blue leather. Built for Zaid Hamid, it’s thought to be the last Spyder RS to leave the factory.
