The @oah.org (Org. of American Historians) annual conference is now in Philadelphia. I was supposed to be on a panel on history as creative writing. Just couldn't do it. But here are some thoughts.
Let's start with this fact: There are Pulitzers in History and Biography, but not Sociology.
