anyway this is a gentle wake up call for anyone who might be unknowingly acting like this. because MYSELF i was one of these. couple years ago i realised how self-centered i was in oc discussions and began to work on it. i wish more people did so too

rlly wish it was easier to make oc friendships, because i love yapping with others about characters and headworlds but so many people only ever want to talk about themselves?? like zero effort to match your own effort and ask about your ocs too. im sorry but "cool" is not enough of a comment

is there ever a "right" amount to talk about what you love? i'm prone to huge tirades about my passions, especially ocs, and once i became conscious of it i can't stop shutting myself down because im afraid of being overbearing. im never true to myself and its starting to really take its toll
