i’m not going to put a scholar i don’t know on blast, and i have few problems with the larger thread. i just find this attitude unspeakably depressing as a technologist and troublemaker, and a foundational betrayal as a student. i trust you not to teach me things that aren’t true.
this particular person managed the tension by working hard on a resource they hoped would alleviate their concerns. that’s a good way of coping! but you can also *always* refuse, it doesn’t necessarily require institutional power, and i would really prefer that to be the lesson we teach on AI.
