Someone just tried very hard to insult me. Well, jokes on you, brother, I already think everything I do sucks.
I use #Daz3D as a starting point for most of my work. I compose a shot, i take the renders into #Affinity and do a tremendous amount of post work. Light, color, texture, digital painting, etc.
This is what opened up the world of character art for me.

Then buy art from an artist.
The idea of buying a 3D asset, uploading it to AI and telling it what to do with it, feels insane to me.

I point this out because I'm watching a debate go down in some Daz spaces about allowing "AI Art" to be posted.
I find it genuinely upsetting. I don't want to see what AI does with 3D assets. I want to see what people do with them. /2
There is a person who posts a lot on an art group I'm in. The work isn't AI, but her 8 paragraph long captions are. Blatantly. And I just want to scream "oh my God talk like a fucking human!"
No one fucking speaks like this. It's so weird and nonsensical while trying so hard to sound deep.
The moment the groups allow AI, it's over, because then it just becomes another AI group, where people just post tons of bullshit to appeal to the other AI folks.
It's interesting to see how many people never actually desired to be artists, they just want custom art they don't have to pay for. /4
