Mamdani's speech at the Knicks parade was easily the best I've ever heard at an event of that sort. I posted the whole thing on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Highly recommended.
Reduction operations are clearer and less buggy. When dimension ordering is important for performance, this ordering is made explicit by well-supported transpose methods.

Physical media is back!
I like this convention for variable names when named dimensions are unavailable. Libraries that support named dimensions for objects and operations make this obsolete. I'm thinking of Xarray in Python and DimensionalData.jl in Julia.
For it to be useful, the naming convention needs to be standardized just like the suffixes. The code becomes so much easier to read, and all without the overhead of longer variable names.

It's totally fucking dope that this place became the sports app. You need the experts, the beat writers, the nerds teaching you the game, the sycophants, the casual fans, the newbies, and the lookie loos to make it all work and Bluesky has gotten these segments in pretty much every sport now.

trying to explain to my kid and his buddies that there was a time not too long ago when hydrating yourself was not treated like a side job and required no thought besides "oh hm, i am thirsty, i will take a sip of water now."
they don't believe me.
