Visit to #France, day 3: insightful discussions on the challenges of care for older persons in care homes with representatives from civil society, advisory bodies and the Assembly of French Departments.
I am concerned by reports that criminal proceedings for serious police misconduct against a female student during the July 2025 Belgrade protests may be stopped through deferred prosecution. #Serbia 1/2
To reclaim women’s roles in peace & security, we need to engage:
🔹 overcoming patriarchy & misogyny
🔹eradicating gender-based violence
🔹embedding women, peace & security in peacetime & conflict prevention
🔹building better partnerships across states & civil society, & across multilateral orgs. 2/2

Day 1 of my visit to #France focusing on older persons in residential care. Visited two care homes (Ehpad) in Schiltigheim and Strasbourg. I was honored by the warm welcome from the residents and staff. I would like to thank them for their time and for the quality of our discussions
