Cats and Godzilla have a lot in comment: Godzilla will fight pests who threaten your home, but he will also destroy it himself if given half a chance.
It occurs to me that if we cut the US military budget in half then the Pentagon would have to be clever and resourceful rather than continuing to build an army based on WW2 tactics and enemies. And of course we’d be able to repurpose the savings for healthcare or something.
