This surprises me just because my personal policy is to not say anything in writing so rude my grandmother would chastise me. (Not necessarily disagree with me, just tut-tut me for a lack of decorum.) She has passed but it’s a standard I maintain.
Your periodic reminder that people are *more* abusive online when they're using their "real names" than when they're using a persistent pseudonym and this effect has been replicated in literally every study that has ever been done

I remain of the view that regulation of social media is better than a ban for young people.
But I also pretty much agree with all these proposals.
