When it comes to climate, the choice between Becerra and Hilton for California Governor is clear. Becerra would continue his fight to defend our clean air and climate protections, and Hilton would roll them back. We need Becerra to win in November!
Ugh, this is such a drag. I read this as Politico scrapping a scrupulously factual, down-the-middle news site in favor of a bunch of insider-gossip newsletters more in line with its garbage in-house style. Fewer & fewer places to get reliable information.

After a decade+ of nonstop pollution offenses, GOP Sen. Jim Justice's coal empire learned earlier this year that it was under federal criminal investigation. But before prosecutors could gather crucial evidence, Todd Blanche's office told them "pencils down."

We have some really cool jobs open right now at EPI, if I may say so. An early-career fellowship, a data engineer position, and a CA-focused research manager. My colleagues are amazing. We have fun and we make a difference. energyandpolicy.org/jobs/

"Something remarkable happened in April. For the first time in history, wind and solar generated more electricity than gas across the entire planet. Not in a country. Not in a region. Globally." Tons of great news here from Danny Kennedy (via @billmckibben.bsky.social's newsletter, which rules).

RIP to E&E. Since 2013, E&E has been my constant companion, the morning paper delivered to my digital stoop. Truly the end of an era. My deepest thanks and appreciation to you all, E&E past and present.
