Will the BBC and other far right serving media now accept that the gig is up for Farage and Reform? A party on the brink of power should be winning by-elections comfortably - instead they are getting comprehensively beaten. We won't be hearing from Nasty Nigel for a while.

Awful night for Reform. Smashed in Makerfield and Tories took Aberdeen South. Two party politics reasserting itself and they might not even be one of them. Time for the press to stop accepting inevitability of PM Farage. After Makerfield that will be tough.
