Buffalo Bill time
Went to see ‘Backrooms’ last night. I have not felt that unsettled or tense watching a horror film since Saint Maud. A wonderfully crafted psychological mind bender that is heavy on atmosphere, metaphor and glorious sound design. Think it could be my favourite horror of the year so far
My son took me to see Masters of the Universe as he knew I was a fan of the cartoons. What a BRILLIANT film. It is camp, OTT, very funny (lots of innuendo)and wonderfully cheesy. Lots of great winks to the cartoon (even down to their postures when they laugh iykyk). Excellent family viewing x
It’s my birthday in a couple of weeks and in that time I will be watching a new He-Man and a new Spielberg film. Happy in my arrested development 😁
Watching a doc on 80s horror (all hail the mighty VHS) and it is no wonder a load of us ended up bloody twisted haha. Shout out to the brilliant video store workers who always suggested the weirdest films under “staff picks”
