So seeing the RTD2 era of Doctor Who end sparked a thought... is there any return of a showrunner/creative that *did* live up to their previous stint? Because I can't think of any off the top of my head: Al Jean's second stint was nowhere near as good, Claremont's returns to X-Men paled...

Like the only thing I can think of that might meet that criteria is Power Rangers, where Doug Sloan and Ann Austen crushed it with Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder, and then maybe Chip Lynn with Dino Charge (even if that's decidedly more mixed)
