I use AI a lot in my practice now, but I can’t imagine not checking its work.
That said, the more energy intensive models that will cause the Colorado River to run dry (like Chat “thinking” mode) have not hallucinated a case for me in at least a year. So, these attys are both dumb and cheap

In Mississippi, lawyers on both sides of a court case were caught using AI, essentially two LLMs arguing against each other. The judge dismissed all lawyers from the case and canceled the trial:
