Studies have shown that many Los Angeles homeowners come in after final inspection and convert required parking spaces to other uses. That is, they violate zoning laws. I had no idea contractors sometimes do this with respect to building codes. Is this common practice???

It’s a bit of a tradition in a building project that contractors come in after final inspection and undo some of the things that codes require that aren’t practical. We had to replace a bunch of arc fault breakers because they kept tripping.
