[1/4] Last month, the Yaroslavl Shipyard board of directors voted to remove Yevgeniy Norenko as the shipyard's general director (last working day was 4 May). Norenko was selected as the shipyard's general director in February 2025; his five-year contract ended after only 15 months.
RF Navy Northern Fleet Gorshkov-class missile frigate Admiral Flota Kasatonov (deployed since 15 April) entered an unidentified Mediterranean Sea port [Alexandria, Egypt?] on 11 June
- no official confirmation (yet)
- port call comes one day before Russia celebrates Russia Day (12 June)
[4/4] Replacing Norenko is Aleksandr Bereznikov (first working day was 20 May), who served as acting general director after Norenko's departure two weeks earlier. Like Norenko, Bereznikov signed a five-year contract for his new position.
[3/4] Many cases filed against Yaroslavl Shipyard involved the failure to pay for delivery of equipment or provision of services related to RF Navy, Coast Guard, and EmerCom (MChS) ship construction contracts.
[2/4] Under Norenko's leadership, 192 cases (totaling RUB 4,233,336,817.99 in damages) were filed against Yaroslavl Shipyard in various arbitration courts across Russia, including a RUB 2,391,200,000.00 case filed by the RF MOD, likely for non-delivery of one or more Balk-class oceangoing tugs.
