gameplay was def way easier, which again, intentional, but some few loudouts felt like insta-kill buttons (any main weapon with the "power generator" perk + high-level prominence = spam to win). I did like the shield system though, and parrying/nova projectiles felt adequately tricky to play around
spelled "chauffeur" right on the first try... who wants to put my photo in the paper
forgot to say but I finished saros... it didn't hit quite the same sweet spot as returnal for me but I think that's fair/expected since returnal is one of my favorite games ever and saros was deliberately trying NOT to just be returnal 2. and I still liked it enough to 100% it lol
like returnal's plot is a big ball of emotional allegory but the whole atmosphere is soooooo strong in service of that. saros was more literal and less moody but the literal parts were Just Okay to me. although I did like [rot13] gur erirny gung lbhe jvsr yrsg lbh tb gb qb fbzr fcnpr yrfovnavfz
the story mostly fell flat to me, which is a shame bc there were some cool elements but they didn't really come together. I know it was trying to be less "abstract" than returnal but I actually think returnal felt more straightforward overall by keeping its scope relatively small/focused...
