It’s obscene how so many international law academics & colleagues especially in white/western institutions have turned on the question of Genocide, precisely now, when doing so is becoming professionally safer & increasingly the official line in many institutions.
Let this picture be remembered as the defining moment of our moral & legal bankruptcy. That a lifetime of reparations & prosecutions is not enough, until every brick in that rubble is reinstated, until the genocidal regime is held accountable for annihilating an entire generation.
As we reflect on Marx’s legacy today, on his birthday, let’s remember that his ideas were not forged alone - Jenny Marx’s unwavering love, labor, care-work, fierce intellectual comradeship and revolutionary politics were foundational to all he achieved.
Agreed, we must exercise nuance, at least until the genocidal project is allowed to be fully executed.
Dear friends, dear colleagues, after receiving multiple inquiries about the venue of our pre-conference workshop, we are sharing the information about our decision to proceed with the organization of our event. We are also extending the deadline to submit your abstracts to April 27 🚨
