The Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1900 (United Kingdom) established the Commonwealth of Australia. Passed by the British Parliament and granted Royal Assent by Queen Victoria on July 9, 1900, it united the six separate British colonies into a single federal nation on January 1, 1901.
