Think of autocracy's shitty foundations: a few grab power without the population's say-so. Rampant nepotism with bloodlines mattering more than merit. No valid succession laws. Usually, no free press, no freedom of conscience. Autocracy is old, yet still a flawed, oppressive "experiment."
