And we need to call things what they are. It's not a protest. It's not a riot. What happened in Belfast is a pogrom. The racists feel legitimised and this is going to keep happening unless and until senior political figures develop a spine.

Absolutely superb visit to the National Neon Sign Museum in The Dalles, OR - with our guide & exec director of the museum David. The museum is housed in a historic Elks Lodge, and home to a phenomenal collection amassed by David over the years (who is a neon maker and historian of the practice!)

It's just remarkable that if you're white, male, and conservative you are allowed to call for political violence that would get anyone who doesn't tick all those boxes absolutely pilloried. The group with the fewest legitimate grievances in society provided the widest grace to rage. Wild.

X owner Elon Musk has reposted his Sept 2025 call that pre-emptive inter-ethnic violence (civil war) is necessary for 'self-defence "Elon Musk was always right "You either fight back, or you die."

Musk, Jenrick, Robinson, Farage, the whole of them, know what they are doing. This is Stochastic terrorism. They are constructing a monolithic other to generate fear and anger for electoral gain. Those talking of 'legitimate concerns' are normalising their framing and helping them. It's that simple.
