So in theory, if I were to go to Dragonmeet this year...
I am so immensely proud of this show. Only one session left and the cast have been brilliant. It's been almost entirely RP and basically no combat but the tension and feeling behind every scene have been phenomenal. Loving how it's worked out so far and excited for the finale in 2 weeks!
Safety needs to be enshrined in cons' policies & enforced on their game runners, regardless of the game, setting, theme, or experience of GM. Responsibility can not be left to players to moderate the games they participate in. Safety is the responsibility of everyone but it needs to come from above!
I run games at TTS and always make sure to go over lines and veils and talk through content warnings on both Overgrown (animal phobias are super important to know!) and Cybertopia (all the usual cyberpunk themes) but I know not every GM does this or even considers safety at all.
This feels pretty significant - hopefully it all holds up when Google inevitably appeals the-decoder.com/landmark-ger...

We had an X card and everyone exchanged shocked awkward expressions when it happened but out of 7 players, none of us felt comfortable pulling it. Nobody wants to be the person who ends a game that other ppl might be enjoying. You can NOT rely on the X card to protect tables at your con.
I've talked about it before but 2 years ago I played in a game at Tabletop Scotland that opened with a teen murdering his parents then committing suicide. Literally the opening scene. Zero content warnings. Later was revealed that same kid had date-raped a teen girl. This game should never happen.
