Imagine if there were protests in the street every time a woman or child was stabbed, assaulted, or raped by a white dude. None of us want that of course, but those fellas would be busy 24/7 with their anger and fists and bins on fire...
Grow up, will you?

We're baaaaaaack! The fourth annual Haunted Futures Conference will take place on September 29th and 30th @ucc.ie. This year we propose to explore the theme of 'Spaces in Crisis' and will be accepting abstracts until July 24th
I feel like male violence against women is so acceptable - that a man bombing his partner and himself to death in Bristol isn’t being treated by media, pundits and politicians as being illustrative of a national emergency and an act of terrorism-
It absolutely is

PSA to my fellow Zoom users -- it's automatically turned on a bunch of A.I. features without asking you✌️
to turn all 32 of them off, go to "Settings" --> "My Account" --> "View advanced features"
it'll open up your browser and list a SHITTON of A.I. features, many of which will be on (scroll!)

Did anyone else get chills from this scene in 'Midsommar'?
It is striking to see someone express deep feelings, and being supported by others, rather than supressing rage or loss.
Just one of the ways that horror can be healing! If your curious, see my Fringe show on the subject: bit.ly/42jWs1m
This is going to be a heck of a year for horror.
- rewatched 'Oddity', it is great - can't wait for 'Hokum'.
- rewatched 'Milk & Serial', also really good - can't wait for 'Obsession'.
Horror is thriving! "What do you mean you don't like it?"
Believe it or not, I am doing a Fringe show! On horror films! 🖤
I'll be talking about the genre and why horror films can be better than therapy, even the really nasty ones...

Police Scotland said members of the public were attacked "because of the colour of their skin" on Tuesday evening.
The WOMGEND SIG are running online coffee morning drop-ins for CBT therapists interested in discussing all things menopause.
Come and join us for a chat on this important topic.
This is such incredible bullshit. I am alive, thriving, and writing books on health policy/politics thanks to antidepressants.
Antidepressants aren't for everyone, but they can be literal lifesavers. Attacking their prescribing & use is stigmatizing and dangerous.
