145/29 is a good night for our garden in VC37. Lots of nfy including Lynchis, Short cloaked Moth, Udea olivalis, Beautiful hook-tip and most interesting Maple Snout (Anarsia innoxiella) - quite uncommon in Worcs I think #teammoth
93/20 this morning with no losses to the Robin thugs thanks to keeping everything in the box where the buggers can‘t at the moths. The LYU explosion has started being most numerous followed by Dark Arches. H&D dropping off. Dwarf Cream Wave & Grey Pug nf the garden. Nfy Flame & Uncertain #teammoth
Today is the June Priority Core Count date and the last count of the 2025/26 WeBS year! A massive thank you to all our fantastic volunteers for carrying out WeBS counts this year! Is there is any outstanding data yet, please can this be submitted to WeBS Online asap. #UKbirding #ornithology
It’s a core count for WeBS tomorrow. Sites are available for Worcestershire (couple of examples attached). If you fancy contributing to some important citizen science (and are a Worcestershire birder) see link in bio on sites available #worcsbirds
The latest Trev moth trapping session. If you haven’t subscribed yet then do - the best thing on YouTube #teammoth youtu.be/1cejVgtZ_y4?...
This weekend, UK birdwatchers will be counting Wetland Birds for @btobirds.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social @jncc.bsky.social. With most waders away, breeding, this is a great opportunity to count non-breeding 'teenagers'. Why are they important? wadertales.wordpress.com/2020/08/28/t... #ornithology
Caspian Tern still at the head of Blythe Bay, Blithfield although frequently makes sorties out to Tad and beyond #ukbirding
Fair few of these early at Upton Warren VC37 the other day Yellow-banded longhorn. #teammoth
96/18 this morning. Most numerous still H&D with Dark Arches & LYU close behind. Nfy Light Arches, the lovely Carcina quercana, Riband Wave, Agepeta hamana and an un-identifiable Pug (answers on a postcard) Had to fight off 2 Robins this morning so trapping suspended for a few days ! #teammoth
Thanks to @wheatearlp.bsky.social lending me his lures I’ve added Yellow-legged (last year), Red-belted and Red-tipped Clearwing to the garden moth list in VC37. I can see a purchase at Anglian leps being made! #teammoth
