Once, while watching Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer, I had to go out in deep Pennsylvania winter so the dog could do his biz. I was shocked to be met with the largest moon I’d ever seen. It still feels like the thing noticed me and decided to get a closer look. #art #writing #memory #moon
Greetings! I’m Mary, co-host of #HorrorWritersChat and writer of cosmic, gothic, and weird horror. I love vampires, so, those. Yes. Okay. Zombie movies are easier to choose one from, so TRAIN TO BUSAN
#HorrorWritersChat No contest - Edgar Allan Poe. I was born in Baltimore, where he died. You don't live in Baltimore & not know about Poe. I've been to the Poe house & the churchyard where he's buried. I even saw a Poe opera! We'd co-write a horror satire. I love NEVER BET THE DEVIL YOUR HEAD.

Howdy #HorrorWritersChat! I'm a Spooky Pickle! For horror, I tend to dip my briny fingers into several inky pots. I often add humor to it, too. Does The Crow count as horror? I'd argue it does in looks, plus the horror of how the characters died and then resurrection. Been my fave since forever.
#HorrorWritersChat, I did a little research because I just couldn't think. So, William Malone. He directed The House on Haunted Hill (1999) and other things that have stuck with me throughout the years.
#HorrorWritersChat this might be a popular answer, but I also can't think of others rn, soooo Edgar Allen Poe. I think we'd have a blast. I learned a lot about how so much of what we know about him is probably super wrong because this stalker guy who hated him so much wrote his bio.

Hi #HorrorWritersChat I'm Samantha, purveyor of short horror. I'm a big fan of resurrection horror starting as far back as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. A more recent favorite was Stephen King's Pet Sematary (book and both films).

#HorrorWritersChat Thanks, Mary, for bringing this up again… I’m still on my road trip, but should have stuff to share soon, which can be followed through here: linktr.ee/jdanryan
Thanks Mary! Sticking with tonight's theme, here's a rec for three brilliant zombie stories; each one puts a creative new spin on the traditional wandering corpses #HorrorWritersChat

Oh #HorrorWritersChat - All my stories are unpublished. For now. They're not ready. But I do keep a list of characters that other writers have killed off for no good damn reason. Those brain babies are coming back. HA! Coming soon: “Reborn as a character in a Mary Wyrd Horror”
