We got one! S1 E6 [sometimes described as E5 due to how the feature length pilot is cut] of KNIGHT RIDER becomes the 9️⃣9️⃣th episode of TV we've found with an exploding helicopter.

New review, "The Big Fall" (1997), our PM post for the month, and 59th on the site overall, directed by and starring C. Thomas Howell, with Sophie Ward, Titus Welliver, Sam Seder, Jeff Kober, and Kathy Griffin. dtvconnoisseur.blogspot.com/2026/06/the-...
On this episode of PRAISING KANE we’re checking out the uneven buddy-comedy FLASHBACK from 1990 starring Kiefer Sutherland as a buttoned-down, straight-laced FBI agent tasked with escorting a legendary, Abbie Hoffmanesque hippie played by Dennis Hopper. Also CAROL KANE is there! Check it out!
If we consider Statham's action breakthrough year as being 2001 (/w GHOSTS OF MARS and THE ONE) it means he's been consistently cranking (lol) out action films for 25 years straight and can STILL consistently get his films a theatrical release. It's really pretty incredible.

Next up was HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE (2003) a duff buddy cop movie hamstrung by its two stars who have a truly spectacular lack of chemistry.
We got one! JUST ANOTHER SECRET (1989) becomes the 9️⃣5️⃣6️⃣th film we've found with an exploding helicopter.

TV movie thriller with Beau Bridges as a spy out to stop an assassination attempt on Gorbachev. I've not seen this, but it's on the Rewind channel in the UK on Saturday afternoon.
Then THE YOUNG AMERICANS (1993). Could have sworn I saw this back in the day, but nothing within this nondescript thriller seemed familiar. Features a shockingly young Iain Glen.
I watched a bunch of films over the weekend. First up was MONTANA MOON (1930) an underwhelming Joan Crawford romantic comedy that was apparently the first 'singing cowboy' film.
If exploding a helicopter was like making love to a beautiful woman, then this would be missionary position quickie.

Then THE DEADLY AFFAIR (1967) Sidney Lumet directed Le Carre adaptation. Would love to know what made Quincy Jones think that bossanova was the perfect accompaniment for a film featuring a craggy James Mason visiting drab, drafty, terraced houses, heated only by a single bar electric fire.

@chopperfireball.bsky.social I couldn't see this one in your list. Knight Rider S01E06. The Hoff clearly hadn't taken lessons in how to land a helicopter.

Few cinematic joys are as pure these days as watching Jason Statham unalive a lot of dumb fucking scumbags.
