We don't really know the answers to these questions. In our proposal, we outline putative mechanisms and open question about how effort and time costs modulate our behavior.

Had a great time presenting at asp conference in Heidelberg! We dove into how perceived time and effort costs interact in movement-related decisions, and which factors matter most when studying them together. Wanna know more? 👉🏼 doi.org/10.31234/osf...

Truly enjoyed sharing some empirical data on one of our key points at #ISSP in Hong Kong: People minimize effort & especially time costs for their exercise goals, even when they know it’s not the most effective way! w/ @corimartarelli.bsky.social, @mbieleke.bsky.social, and @wanjawolff.bsky.social

We often treat time and effort requirements as separate barriers to exercise. But any physical activity takes time and requires effort. How do we integrate the concurrent costs of time and effort?
Really happy to share that my first PhD preprint is finally out!🥳 We suggest that time and effort should be studied together as a shared experiential cost w/@bcheval.bsky.social, @corimartarelli.bsky.social, Dr. Maltagliati, Dr. Chastin, and @wanjawolff.bsky.social Curious?👇 doi.org/10.31234/osf...

I had such a great time on this episode! 🤩 I really enjoyed taking the explore-exploit trade-off beyond theory and discussing its relevance for athletes, coaches, and performance in real sport settings. 🏀🏌️‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Thanks so much for having me @danabrahamspsych.bsky.social

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. Amitai Shenhav from UC Berkeley to our #DHPRlab meeting. He told us about neural and computational mechanisms of motivation, affect, and decision-making Thank you for taking the time and for the really engaging discussions @ashenhav.bsky.social🙏

A snippet of this week's episode of The Sport Psych Show with Katja Rewitz. Katja and I speak about a fascinating paper she led which examines the explore-exploit framework related to decision making in sport and exercise. Listen to here buff.ly/2kubwcI

New episode of The Sport Psych Show! On this week's episode "Exploit or Explore: Decision Making in Sport" I speak with University of Hamburg PhD student Katja Rewitz. Katja's research focuses on human sensations and their influence on decision-making and performance behaviour
