Some nice finds from today's pit/ditch feature. An iron nail, and a couple of flint tools.
Sadly the skeleton of a newborn was revealed in the section next to mine. Infant mortality in C19 peaked at nearly 25% in places. I haven't found a figure estimating its rate in the Iron Age. #Durotriges26
