When there are people I thought of as friends who don't engage or communicate with me anymore, it's easy to feel badly. But the truth is, I have been well treated and included by so many wonderful people. It's best to focus on that, I believe. Not take the negative personally.

Todayβs talks at Squid Vibrio 2026 are getting kicked off with Marcy Balunas, looking at the chemistry of bacteria living in symbiosis with animals (specifically bobtail squid!) and how temperature is associated with changes in the molecules they create.
