My bill to make it easier for survivors to sue for malpractice if a therapist performs conversion therapy on them passed the Assembly Judiciary Committee today. It’s already passed the Senate.
Conversion therapy is psychological torture of LGBTQ people, usually young people. 🧵
By falsely classifying the simple counting of ballots as “fraud,” they’re laying groundwork to delegitimize & steal the November midterms. They’ll try to cast doubt on close House races Dems win & demand those Dems not be seated. It’s January 6 part 2.
With the Supreme Court creating legal uncertainty for California’s youth conversion ban, California must step up to protect our community. SB 934 will help ensure accountability for those who inflict this torture.
