I made an amusing discovery a little while back that Halo 2 and FFXIV use the same sound sample libraries for a lot of their sound effects.
The sound for DRK's Salted Earth is just a shorter version of the same stock sound used for the Hunter's Fuel Rod Cannon pitched up slightly. (Audio only)
