531 years ago, on the 1st of June 1495, Scottish monk John Cor is ordered by King James IV of Scotland to use 'eight bolls of malt to make aquavitae (whisky)' according to an entry in the Exchequer Rolls. It's the first mention of whisky in a Scottish source. #otd #history 🗃️
