It seems like a joke so you smile and laugh nervously, they then wish you goodnight and leave you to rest, realising they were actually serious...you don't want to be impolite, and as you kneel you feel just how soft, inviting and comforting it feels.
Guess it's better then just the floor, right?
(Alt scene being slowburn tf with gradual changes coming in that you raise up concerns with your hosts who assure you not to worry about it, gradually turning more and more as you're there, even masking your face to hide the forming snout and fur...
It's a little embarrassing and peculiar, but one night in it couldn't hurt right? You're an early riser, you can be up before they can spot you in it.

You wake up and stretch feeling surprisingly well rested, and as you do...(one of two scenarios follows, cont below;)
you see paws and fur covered...arms? forelegs?
You feel a collar around your neck, a nametag jingling loudly right before letting out a startled confused panicked "yip?!" scrambling to your feet only to find you can't stand anymore or even speak? a reflection from a glass pane shows just a fox...
"that- that's my tail!?"

A couple close friends of mine teased a few times that if I were to visit they'd turn me into a fox and keep me as a pet, and...it's a beloved scenario I can't get out of my head
