A tiara and a sandal
float upon a wave
the tide rushed in
and nothing was saved
of the fortress shaped
by diligent hands
with water, dreams
and buckets of sand
When life weighs heavy
and I fear I cannot bear the weight
of its unforgiving truths

to be reminded there is always
