The interesting, and slightly unsettling, upshot of today's therapy session was that I might not actually be that happy with the day-to-day experience of my life, and I'm not really sure what to do about that.
The upshot is I keep trying to "figure myself out" more and more deeply, which accumulates self-doubt, and for people like me that ends up generating anxiety with nowhere to go, until it attaches itself to my deepest and darkest personal worries. And off we go into OCD and depression.
So what the therapist said today was essentially: "It sounds like there are genuine, unsolved questions inside you, and they're not going to go away on their own." So I have some searching to do.

When I go on holiday and get a break from the granular daily drudgery and life pressures, I feel like I rediscover myself. ConFuzzled was evidence enough of that. Then I have to return to my normal routine, and within about 7 days I'm washed out again.
