Anyone interested in the #JusticeNeedsJuries reforms. The #JusticeCommittee report, following this week’s meeting, is out on Lammy’s plans to curtail jury trials and it’s unsurprisingly “not convinced” - GOOD! An awful idea which has barely any support across the legal profession. Report below👇🏻
The Committee remains “unconvinced” about the plans and believes reform could make racial tensions around justice and judicial diversity worse.
