I ran my 100th training course recently 💐 17 courses, 2000+ people. It's been a privilege to meet and learn with so many wonderful people. Instead of the clichéd "top 5 things I've learnt" post, I was wondering if anyone had any questions for me? Serious and silly questions are equally welcome!
I'm offering a 20% discount for groups bookings of 3 or more tickets. I have a few subsidised or free opportunity tickets available for folks who are Black, disabled, trans, First Nations, not university educated, or if you’re working in the climate space.
What are we all losing when we support and repeat this kind of narrative? (sorry, I can't find a the origional post)
Earlier today, I saw a post about how important it is for people to be "easy to work with" and we need to talk about how deeply problematic and harmful this idea is. Please, lets take a moment to think about it. Who does this idea exclude? What types of behaviours does it reward?
Service mapping is an important and useful tool in service design and a core skill for service designers. @ignacia orellana are running a training course on Service mapping in September. www.tickettailor.com/events/ignac...
It is a practical course where learners will actively engage with and create maps, use mapping tools and think critically many different types of maps and mapping as a process.
Would you like to level up your workshop facilitation skills? I'm running Workshop facilitation training course & clinic online on 19 June www.tickettailor.com/events/clara... - planning & running workshops - facilitation tips - a clinic for you to discuss your current workshop challenges
What kinds of issues does it force people to mask and ignore in order to be a good colleague? What systems are being upheld and validated by this idea, and what is being suppressed? What are we allowed to ignore when we chose to prioritise comfort, and exactly who's comfort is being prioritised?
