New publication led by former postdoc Emmanuel Eze. We found that warm-grown tropical tree saplings consistently had higher leaf heat tolerance than controls. The VPD at elevated temperature had no effect on this acclimation.

New paper by PhD student Priscila Lopez. By manipulating transpiration rate and plant-available silicon, we show that the early vascular plant, the spikemoss Selaginella, uses active silicon uptake when passive transport falls short of plant silicon needs. link.springer.com/article/10.1...
New publication in @biotropica.bsky.social with former lab members @juan-camilo-mejia.bsky.social and Roxana: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10....
We found that net photosynthesis and Vcmax were lower at midday than in the morning, but no evidence of significant changes in leaf heat tolerance
