Misinformation spread by public health and IPC trying to bury their failure on airborne transmission hasn't just wasted an enormous number of lives among those who mistakenly trusted them - it gives license to mistreat others too.

I had a procedure in a hospital recently and was admonished, shamed and belittled for my N95. The nurse tried to coerce me to take my mask off! I told her "Covid isn't over, smart people still mask" and I still have a bruise 2 weeks later from the IV she put in, intentionally roughly done.
