Like my family is all huge St Louis cardinal fans, and they easily could have had an extremely competitive roster this year if they didn't trade away all their best players for money. My family will defend the ownerships decision to do this because "it was the best move in the long term". Insane
I think Baseball is the most American sport cuz the billionaire owners get public subsidies and pocket the revenue while spending 30% of it on payroll. Then they tell the fans they need to be patient and they are rebuilding for next year. There's just something uniquely American about that.
